France once again has beaten all odds out, i feel they are the clear winners for me even if they dont win the finals. Zidane is ending his career with such an fantastic performance..another goldEn boot??hang on wait till the finals.....to know if he really does?Final word, Congratulations FRANCE,you deserve to win the gold again, and you can!!!A team which came out of the Blue...and all of a sudden have become a very well organized team.Team work always pays!Good Luck....adios!!

Match Details:FRANCE vs PORTUGAL,MUNICH, July 5
France's 1-0 victory over Portugal on Wednesday completed a turnaround from disappointing start to a second World Cup final in three tournaments.
France - which will face Italy in Sunday's final - struggled in the group stage, drawing with Switzerland and South Korea, and advancing to the second round only after beating lightly regarded Togo. They finished Group G second to Switzerland.
Then things got better for the 1998 champion.
They rallied to beat Spain 3-1 with a convincing second-round performance, and played a brilliant match to eliminate five-time champion Brazil 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
France then defeated Portugal in Munich with a 33rd-minute penalty kick by veteran playmaker Zinedine Zidane.
The penalty was awarded after a foul by defender Ricardo Carvalho on striker Thierry Henry inside the area. Zidane found the net with a low right-footed shot past goalkeeper Ricardo Pereira.
It may be just as great a victory for France as the one against Brazil in the quarterfinals.
Outplaying the defending champions from the start, France picked up a 1-0 win after Zidane set up Henry for a second-half winner in Frankfurt.
It was France's second consecutive win over the Brazilians in World Cups. It won the 1998 final 3-0 with the help of two goals by Zidane.
Zidane, who has said he is going to retire at the end of this tournament, also was crucial in France's victory over Spain in the second round. The France captain set up a goal by Patrick Vieira, then scored one himself late in the match.
France got off to a discouraging start in the group stage, and the possibility of another disastrous first-round elimination - like in 2002 in South Korea and Japan -was not out of the question.
The French debuted in this year's World Cup with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Switzerland in Stuttgart after a sluggish performance.
Another lackluster draw ensued in the second match - 1-1 against South Korea in Leipzig. Henry netted for France, which had been scoreless since the 1998 final, but South Korea equalized in the 81st.
In danger of another early exit, France finally came through against minnow Togo, winning 2-0 with goals from Vieira and Henry. Portugal was trying to reach its first World Cup final.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's team eased through a first-round group including Angola, Iran and Mexico, then got past the Netherlands and 1966 champion England before falling to France.
